Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) combines cognitive therapy and behaviour therapy. Cognitive as in how you think – behaviour as in how you act.
CBT focuses on how you think about the things going on in your life – your thoughts, images, beliefs and attitudes (your cognitive processes) – and how these impacts on the way you behave and deal with emotional problems. CBT helps you to first identify these and then decide how you can change thoughts and behaviours in order to break cycles of repeated unhelpful life habits. CBT very often involves filling out worksheets or writing things down in order to help you identify and practice changes.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T) is particularly helpful for:
• Obsessive Compulsive Issues
I generally integrate C.B.T into our sessions according to your individual needs. I may for example blend C.B.T with Talk Therapy, T.A, Emotional Freedom Techniques and Matrix Reimprinting to help you in a way that is specific for you, and I will explain these to you first.
I offer sessions worldwide via Skype
I also offer sessions locally at my practice in Weston-super-Mare Somerset
