As a therapist helping hundreds of clients, I’ve seen that these patterns stem from deep-rooted limiting beliefs, held in the subconscious. In fact, there are four main limiting beliefs that so many of us carry.

These limiting beliefs, often learnt in childhood, run in the background of our awareness. They're like information on a hard drive - and much as we try to change how we think and what we do - they keep running the same old programs!

I would certainly recommend this book to others, if you are looking for a self-help book that is easy to read. I liked the authors style, and could relate to the stories and examples she gave. What resonated with me the most was reading about the four most common limiting beliefs in chapter two. Great book!

Marléne has created an outstanding piece of work here with Out Of Fear, Into Love. From the beginning I was drawn in without feeling overwhelmed by too much information or complicated language. If you, like me, have found life hard, and struggle to make the day go right, dreading what the future has planned for you, stop right now and get this wonderful book.

What I so loved about Out Of Fear, Into Love is that Marléne explains things in a way that makes you think: ‘Oh yes, that happened to me, I can relate to that.’ For me, it was the story of the child putting his hand up at school to answer a question and when the teacher asked him, he got it wrong, and all the other children laughed. A simple event like that can have a huge impact on a child who afterward grows up with a fear of speaking up, and a self-limiting belief about being heard in the world.

A wonderful book which takes you through an introspection of which limiting beliefs are causing you to be stuck in life, a journey back to your childhood, where you can seek reconciliation with the causes of some of those beliefs, and then, a creative path forward, where with self-awareness and self-compassion, you move into a more free state of being. This book, written in a very informal, easily understood way, will leave you feeling much more in touch with who you are, and above all, will help you to be much more gentle, and loving towards yourself.
