I was in my twenties, a single parent, (with a gorgeous son) but with no real prospects for a career, when I decided to take a night class in psychology. The teacher said to me:
'You know you're really good at this.
Have you ever thought about taking a degree?'
That lady literally changed my life - with that one comment - in that one single moment in time.
It was the beginning of my journey to becoming a therapist....
...and 27 years later I managed to track her down and thank her - it was the best feeling!
So back then I completed my degree at one of the top universities in the UK, the University of Sussex - and in time I took several post-graduate qualifications. I also gained a great deal of experience through counselling for a number of charities and organisations.
I’ve been in private practice now for many years, and I LOVE what I do! It gives me so much pleasure to help people become unstuck from the limiting ideas and self-beliefs that have been holding them back.
